Several years ago, Dr. Jentes experienced a brain trauma that forced her to take nearly two years off working in order to recover. During this time, she had an urge to learn to paint. Inspired by the works of watercolorists, she discovered a new talent. Her love of large birds and Native American art inspires her creativity. Her painting of a swan, which she later named “A Swan Song” was published in the Johnston County, North Carolina Arts Council’s publication celebrating 50 years of the arts. Prints of her paintings are available through Black Eyed Susan Media.
